About Galapagos Journey III

Relax on board Galapagos Journey III as you cruise around the Galapagos Islands. This attractive, comfortable catamaran will be your home for the 8 day voyage as you travel from island to island. Built in 2002 to the highest specifications, Journey III guarantees a smooth ride. All 8 double/twin cabins are air conditioned and have their own private bathroom with shower. All cabins have large outside windows, cupboard and bedside table.

The public areas include a cosy social area with TV, DVD player and library, dining room, well stocked bar and large sundecks with chairs and loungers, perfect for relaxing between island visits. In addition, she carries sea kayaks, snorkelling gear and wetsuits for passenger use.

  • Thursday: Fernandina: Punta Espinoza. Isabela: Urbina Bay.
  • Friday: Isabela: Elizabeth Bay, Punta Moreno.
  • Saturday: Floreana: Post Office Bay, Punta Cormorant and Devil's Crown.
  • Sunday: Santa Cruz: Highlands. Baltra. 

    This 8 day cruise can also be started and ended on a Wednesday.

Pricing guidelines for Galapagos Islands

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights to Quito or Guayaquil will add from about £750 to £1000 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). You will also need internal flights from the mainland to the islands which cost about £275 to £350. A Galapagos National Park tax is payable on arrival - currently $100. A few yachts also offer shorter or longer cruises. Charter cruises are also available. Please ask for details.

This price does not include the return flights Quito/Guayaquil - Galapagos or international flights.

Other costs

Galapagos National Park Entrance Fee $100 and Transit Card $10. These are payable locally in US dollars.
Return flights from Quito to the Galapagos.
Low season (1st May - 14th June & 15th September - 31st October): £290.
High season: £335.
Personal expenses including bar consumption.
Tips.
Hire of snorkelling gear and wetsuits.
