    About Zambia

    • Close Panel

A Zambia safari does not attract huge numbers of travellers, but anyone who knows Africa knows that a safari in Zambia is one of THE best wildlife experiences.

South Luangwa National Park is for many people the best park in Africa and it was here that walking safaris were pioneered. Other excellent parks in Zambia include Kafue and the Lower Zambezi as well as some lesser known ones. Lower Zambezi offers canoe safaris as well as game drives and walks. And of course there is Mosi-oa-Tunya which is the protected area around the magnificent Victoria Falls. Livingstone is the adventure capital of Zambia.  For the more adventurous and specialist traveller, the North of Zambia has smaller little visited parks such as Bangweulu Swamps with the rare Shoebill Stork and Kasanka National Park with huge herds of antelope and the fascinating Bat migration later in the year.

On the cultural side, if you want to know exactly what life is like in a typical African village, try a village stay at the award winning community project such as at Kawaza Village in Luangwa. Combine this with luxury safaris in South Luangwa and you have a truly exceptional African experience. Zambia is a safari destination par excellence.

    Pricing guidelines for Zambia

    • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless airlines have special offers). Zambia combines well with Malawi and Botswana.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
